merch design for LAAX

designing two merchandise shirts for laax was a project that felt especially meaningful to me. having worked there myself, laax is much more than a destination, it’s a place that has shaped me personally and creatively.

known as one of europe’s most iconic freestyle and snowboard destinations, laax has built a global reputation through its world-class parks, progressive culture, and deep connection to the mountains. for many riders, it’s not just a resort but a true snowboard mecca and a place where creativity, community, and outdoor lifestyle come together.

for this project, i was given complete creative freedom to develop both designs. this allowed me to fully embrace and translate the authentic wakan del sol spirit into the artwork, bringing together elements of freedom, adventure, connection, and positive energy that define both laax and my own creative approach.

i also had the opportunity to incorporate influences from my surf-inspired visual language. considering that snowboarding has its roots in surfing, it felt natural to merge these worlds and create designs that reflect the shared spirit of flow, style, and freedom found in both cultures.

the result is a pair of designs that blend mountain culture, surf aesthetics, and personal storytelling. created for a place that continues to inspire me every time i return.
